Mary's Meals International is delighted to be recruiting for a Philanthropy Officer to join its growing team. Working alongside other team members, you will play a key role in enhancing the long-term sustainability and growth of Mary’s Meals. You will play a key role in supporting the National Affiliates and relationship managers, producing proposals for philanthropic opportunities, partnerships, foundations and institutional donors, to meet the needs of our existing donor base and capitalise on growth opportunities that arise.
You will be responsible for developing compelling funding proposals and writing reports for a range of major donors. In this fast paced and varied role, you will build and develop strong relationships both internally and externally, with a view to supporting the research and development of major donor grants and prospective opportunities for funding.
Key duties include:
- Assisting National Affiliates in establishing a portfolio of long-term partnerships that provide sustainable income for our school feeding programmes.
- Writing high quality donor proposals, applications and reports for a range of funding bodies.
- Supporting the communication of the impact of our work through compelling written stories.
- Supporting the development of a suite of Mary's Meals products and materials which communicate our strategy to attract funding and promoting the use of these across our network.
- Contributing to the development and coordination of organisational systems and processes to complete funding proposals and reports.
With exceptional organisational skills, you will be comfortable working across multiple projects, coordinating contributions across all parts of the organisation, and will bring relevant experience of designing and developing compelling funding proposals and reports.
You will have strong writing skills with the ability to tailor your approach to a variety of audiences and bring the impact of our work, and our story, to life. You will be confident in your communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of colleagues across the global organisation. Your work will make a tangible difference to the lives of children in some of the world’s poorest communities.
