Mary's Meals International (MMI) is recruiting for an experienced Global Security & Risk Lead to join the Risk & Assurance team. In this impactful and varied role, you will be responsible for overseeing all security arrangements and incident responses across our global network.
Reporting to the Head of Risk & Assurance, you will have responsibility for enhancing our existing framework of security processes, working with programme-based Security & Risk Managers to drive continuous improvement and prompt appropriate responses to emerging global security risks, incidents, and crises.
Key responsible include:
- Guiding local Security & Risk Managers on the security measures necessary to safeguard our people and assets within our offices and in the field.
- Taking the lead on Mary’s Meals initiatives and projects requiring a security and risk perspective.
- Maintaining, reviewing, and refining processes for responding, tracking, and reporting security and risk incidents for MMI, our affiliates and our programme partners.
- Identifying and developing solutions to address knowledge and compliance gaps relating to security processes and incident responses.
- Leading the development and maintenance of comprehensive Disaster and Crisis Management Plans (DCMP) for MMI and our programme affiliates and supporting local Crisis Management teams as required.
- Developing and implementing a regular testing programme to ensure plans are effective and staff are prepared to handle a live crisis.
- Acting as a whistleblowing contact for MMI through regular monitoring, triaging, and responding to concerns of suspected wrongdoing raised through our whistleblowing routes.
- Supporting risk and security strategy development, annual planning, and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a complex security and risk-focused role for an NGO, ideally with experience working across a geographically dispersed remit. You will bring a calm, confident and person-focused approach to effectively safeguarding our people, assets, and resources.
You will have experience developing strong relationships and demonstrating fantastic stakeholder management skills with extensive experience in advising on global security protocols and effective crisis and incident management in a variety of environments.
This is a global role and we are happy for you to work remotely from the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain, Canada, Malawi, Kenya, Zambia or Liberia. There will be a requirement for some travel to countries where Mary’s Meals operates, as part of your role.
