Mary’s Meals serves nutritious school meals to more than 2.4 million children living in some of the world’s poorest countries. The promise of a meal attracts these hungry children into the classroom, giving them the energy to learn and hope for a better future.

At Mary’s Meals, we offer more than just a career; we offer the exciting opportunity to join a movement which reaches an incredible 2.4 million children in 18 countries every school day.

Our nutritious school meals are already transforming so many young lives, but we recognise with 67 million children of primary age out of school around the world, there is so much more we can do.

We are looking for an experienced data analyst who will be instrumental in identifying trends, patterns, and insights that will help us optimise our approach to how we engage with our supporters and volunteers, measure our outcomes, and effectively allocate resources to grow our movement in the UK.

Key duties:

  • Perform thorough analysis of complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to extract actionable insights.
  • Create reports, visualisations, and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on organisational metrics.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify data needs to support strategies for data driven decision-making and establish data collection processes and protocols.
  • Support the data insights manager to conduct ad hoc analyses and generate insights to support strategic initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with emerging data analysis techniques, tools, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g. UK GDPR) and ethical considerations in data handling.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive data throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Collect, clean, and validate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain data infrastructure, databases, and data systems to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Participate in monthly all staff meetings, all staff days, and operations away days.
  • Take ownership of personal development and participate in reviews including identifying any learning and training needs.
